Our Story
Built on Grit,
Grown on Precision

In 1986, Devshibhai Gohel founded Gohel Industries in the heart of GIDC Makarpura — Vadodara's premier industrial estate. With determination, discipline, and a deep belief in craftsmanship, he started with conventional lathe machines and built the company from the ground up, one job at a time.

Over the following two decades, Devshibhai grew the facility to over 25 conventional lathe machines — a significant achievement that earned Gohel Industries a strong reputation in Gujarat's industrial community for reliability and quality. Clients trusted the name because every component was made with care and consistency.

"Precision is not a feature — it is our foundation. Every component that leaves our facility carries 38 years of manufacturing expertise and a zero-defect commitment."

The turning point came in 2007, when the company made a bold decision: invest in CNC technology. The first CNC machine marked Gohel Industries' transition from manual to modern machining. It wasn't just a machine — it was a statement of intent. Tighter tolerances, higher volumes, more complex geometries — the business transformed.

CNC machines were added steadily over the years, each one expanding capacity and capability. Then in 2018, the company crossed another milestone: the first VMC (Vertical Machining Centre) was commissioned. This opened the door to prismatic components, complex milling, and a new class of clients in the power, defence, and aerospace sectors.

In 2016, Devshibhai Gohel retired after three decades of building the foundation. His sons — Rajesh Gohel and Ketan Gohel — took over the reins, bringing fresh energy and vision while honouring the values their father instilled.

Under their leadership, the company has added a 4th-axis VMC for complex simultaneous machining, achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification, obtained Import Export Code registration, and begun exporting precision components to Austria, Germany, China, and Czech Republic — including partnerships with international groups like KUVAG GmbH & Co KG, which operates across Europe and Asia.

Today, Gohel Industries operates from a 20,000 sq ft facility with 10 machines — 4 CNC, 4 VMC (including one 4th-axis), and 2 bandsaws — capable of CNC turning up to Ø600mm diameter × 1,000mm length, with tolerances down to ±5 microns. We supply 30+ companies across 10+ industries, domestically and internationally.

The journey from one lathe machine to a globally-exporting precision machining house is a testament to what consistent quality, family values, and the courage to invest in the future can build.

Foundation to Future
1986
Founded by Devshibhai Gohel
Gohel Industries established at GIDC Makarpura, Vadodara, with conventional lathe machines. A one-man vision built on quality and reliability.
1986 – 2006
Growth to 25+ Conventional Lathes
Over two decades, Devshibhai grew the factory to 25+ conventional lathe machines, earning a strong reputation across Gujarat's electrical, power, and industrial sectors.
2007
First CNC Machine — The Turning Point
The bold move to CNC technology transformed Gohel Industries. The first CNC machine opened the door to tighter tolerances, higher volumes, and a new class of customers.

CNC Fleet Expansion
Steady investment in CNC machines year after year. Each addition increased capacity and capability, attracting clients from automotive, electrical, and power sectors across India.
2016
Devshibhai Retires · Next Generation Takes Over
Devshibhai Gohel retired after 30 years of building the foundation. Sons Rajesh Gohel and Ketan Gohel took over — bringing fresh vision while preserving the company's core values.
2018
First VMC Machine — New Frontier
The first VMC (Vertical Machining Centre) was commissioned — enabling 3-axis milling, complex prismatic components, and entry into aerospace, defence, and precision engineering sectors.

Raw material sourced from verified suppliers — brass, copper, aluminium, SS, MS, nylon. Material grade confirmed against drawing specification.

Incoming Material Inspection
Raw material inspected for grade, dimensions, surface condition and quantity before entering production. Non-conforming material rejected at this stage.

Cutting & Blank Preparation
Bars and billets cut to required blank length using our in-house bandsaw machines — ensuring accurate pre-machining dimensions and minimal material waste.

CAD/CAM Programming
Component programmed by our CAD/CAM team. Toolpaths, feeds, speeds and sequences optimised for the specific material and geometry before machine setup.

Machine Setup & First Article

First Article Inspection
Before any batch begins, the first component is 100% inspected against the drawing. Every critical dimension is verified and recorded. Production only proceeds after FAI sign-off — eliminating batch rejects.

Dimensional checks performed at regular intervals throughout the production run — not just at the end. Operators check their own work and report deviations immediately. Catches problems early before they affect the full batch.

Surface Roughness Verification
Surface finish verified using our digital surface roughness tester (profilometer). Ra and Rz values measured and confirmed against drawing callouts — critical for sealing surfaces, bearing fits and export components.

Thread & Fit Verification
All threaded features verified using calibrated Go/No-Go thread gauges. Bore fits and shaft fits checked with bore gauges and micrometers to ensure correct tolerance class — H7/g6, H6/h5 etc.

Final 100% Inspection
Every single component in every batch is inspected before packing. No sampling-only approach. QC Head signs off each lot. Failing components are segregated, reworked or scrapped — never shipped to the customer.
